September 2019

My month began with a phone call I never want to get: possible school shooting in progress.

It is unfathomable that we live in a country where mass shootings can happen at any time, any place. I am often covering big events with large groups of people, and I am saddened by the sight of militant police officers wearing body armor, carrying large weapons and extra ammunition to keep the public safe. Is this really our reality? Fortunately, the possible school shooting was a false alarm; an electrical unit was malfunctioning and made loud popping sounds.

The month progressed with working on some small projects and lots and lots of football.

Here is video of where to find the best fall coffee in Knoxville.
