February 2018

February 2018

February was a month of experimenting.

When I was starting out in photography, one photojournalist I looked up to was Kristyna Wentz-Graff. One piece of advice she gave me while job shadowing was, “Get your ‘cover your butt shots,’ then try something different.” That was in 2008, and it’s stuck with me. During assignments I try dragging the shutter, different angles, double, triple or even quadruple exposures, and at Tennessee games I use strobes and remote cameras.

This month I also tried my hand at making a 360-video touring the annual Knox News Auto Show.
